On June 6th Go West will be joining a host of 80's Stars to help raise money for The Childrens Brain Tumour Trust and the Kenny Thomas Family with a Night For Christina.

A Night For Christina

Kenny Thomas is one of the UK's most celebrated soul singers. From his early 90s smash hits "Thinking About Your Love"' "Outstanding" and "Best Of You", Kenny went on to be a Brit Award nominee and achieve platinum sales for his albbum Voices. Last year Kenny replaced original vocalist Richard Darbyshire and took over the vocal spot in 80s band Living In A Box.

In February, Kenny's four year old daughter Christina was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The impact on the family of receiving this news is barely imaginable. The 80's artist community, who have know Kenny for many years, want to do something to help and this will be A Night For Christina. All profits from ticket sales will help raise funds to support the family, search for interventions to extend Christina's life and help fund research into this devastating disease, which so often affects the very youngest of children, through the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre.

A stunning line-up of 80's legends including Tony Hadley, Midge Ure, Kim Wilde, Martin Fry, Go West, Nik Kershaw, Heaven 17, T'Pau and Living In A Box ft Kenny Thomas will perform some of their biggest hits with an all star band. The 80s was arguably the most innovative decade in music history and A Night For Christina brings a group of artists together who, between them, were rarely out of the charts during this wonderful time for music.

This is an opportunity to see them up close and personal in a small west London Venue, where they will undoubtebly raise the roof and raise some much needed funds for 4 year old Christina Thomas and our charity partner. Tickets available from

Fly - Songs Inspired by the film Eddie The Eagle

Released 18th March 2016

This Ultimate 80’s Homage, Curated By Take That’s Gary Barlow,

Features Brand NewMaterial From

Tony Hadley, Marc Almond, Holly Johnson, Paul Young, Kim Wilde, Andy Bell and Many More…

‘Fly’(Songs Inspired By The Film Eddie The Eagle), is set for release on 18th March 2016 through Universal Music. The album, the brainchild of Take That’s Gary Barlow, is the ultimate 80’s homage featuring some of the biggest stars from this incredible period in pop music history.  An album of new studio recordings and original songs which perfectly capture the mood of the era and the struggles faced by Michael “Eddie the Eagle” Edwards and his quest for Olympic stardom.

Reading like a Who’s Who of the 80’s charts, the album features brand new songs from Tony Hadley, Marc Almond, Holly Johnson, Paul Young, Kim Wilde, Andy Bell, Midge Ure, Nik Kershaw, ABC, Go West, Howard Jones and Heaven 17.  The stars of the film Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton have also recorded a very special duet, ‘Thrill Me’ written by Gary Barlow and OMD’s Andy McCluskey which will also feature on the album.

Gary Barlow, one of the UKs most successful and well-respected singer-songwriters, had a call from the film’s producer, Matthew Vaughn in December 2014.

“He was raving about the next movie he was going to make… the life story of Eddie Edwards. When he started reeling off about the script, the actors and, best of all, that he wanted all the music to be faithful to the original decade of the story, the 1980s, I knew I had to be involved. Then after having seen the film I was even more excited.

“I started to think about how incredible it would be to make a whole album of brand new songs, with a cast of the legends who started their career in, and defined, the 1980s. Not a pastiche record, but a contemporary record of who all those artists are now, while still keeping the trademark style for which they originally became known around the world.”

s going to be like an iconic super group! All on one soundtrack, all on one album” I said.

“The best part for me was when the tracks started to come in. My email would ping and it would be a demo from Marc Almond! Then a question about a lyric from Holly Johnson! A mix query from Kim Wilde! It was totally mind blowing for me to be in this position and I feel so lucky to have experienced it all. A year on and Im looking back at one of the most enjoyable and collaborative times in my whole career. Anyone who loves the 80s, or any of these artists involved, are in for an hour of incredible music.”

Eddie the Eagle follows the realisation of the childhood dream of Michael Edwards (a.k.a Eddie), and his unflinching determination to become Great Britain’s first Olympic ski-jumper. Reluctantly aided by former ski-jumper Bronson Peary as his coach, Eddie is unwavering in his quest to reach the 1988 Calgary Winter Games. Eddie the Eagle is an uplifting, inspirational story that celebrates human spirit, passion, and one man’s refusal to accept defeat.

Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service) stars as Eddie and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) as coach Bronson Peary. The film is released in the UK on 1st April and is directed by Dexter Fletcher (Sunshine on Leith) and produced by Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman: The Secret Service) alongside Adam Bohling, David Reid, Valerie Van Galder and Rupert Maconick.
